Twitter Username ‘Home’ – Not Such A Good Idea
August 20th, 2009 § Leave a Comment
An article over on Backup Technology today reveals there’s a Twitter user called ‘Home’ – you’d think this would be a fantastic name, up there with the likes of ‘Hello’ and…erm…’SEO’, but unfortunately the way Twitter works has royally buggered Home’s account.
All Twitter users have the URL: twitter.com/username, so Home’s URL is twitter.com/home
Unfortunately this just redirects to the Twitter homepage. Home has a staggering 35,000 followers – how the hell did it get all those without anyone being able to see its profile? How did Home ever login to their account? Does Home enjoy getting random messages from people who are ‘chillaxin @home’?
I’d like to know who’s behind Home – maybe their friends neo and TomFulp can tell us?
Interestingly, neo is only following Home and Tom Fulp….the plot thickens!
